A child was born on this odd spinning globe
a new life just starting out
They sent him to school, tried to teach him their ways
and told him what life's all about

Well before he knew it, he was out on his own
struggling just to survive
With all hopes and dreams of a fine destiny
into the world he would dive

As time went by
so much confusion
His heart did cry...out
is it real or illusion?

His life was a mixture of pleasure and pain
with moments of deep contemplation
Sometimes he tried to make sense of it all
while feeling a quiet desperation

More time went by
so much delusion
His soul did cry...out

that his eyes were bleary
On and on the ups and downs of life
made him so weary

One day he felt he couldn't go on
