These are powerful meditations using the Source word Om.
The Mandukya Upanishad, an ancient Hindu text, describes the word Om (or AUM) as a word that represents the primal vibration behind all existence.
Existence is said to have 4 aspects. Each part of the word AUM represents an aspect:
"A" represents the waking state, "U" represents the dream state, "M" represents the deep sleep state, and silence represents the transcendental state.
To chant AUM is to invoke the primal vibration that is behind all existence and come into harmony with it
